Gesher for the Security Forces: Fostering a Leadership Culture of Listening, Understanding, and Connection

The Gesher Institute strengthens unit resilience by equipping commanders to turn human diversity into a cohesive force.

The Gesher Institute for the Security Forces strengthens unit resilience through a focus on three key pillars: the individual, the group, and command. It builds trust, cohesion, and a strong sense of mission, while developing leadership among commanders.

The Institute equips leaders with the tools for attentive command, enabling them to engage the diverse human fabric of their units and turn it into a source of unity and strength.

The Gesher Institute for the Security Forces strengthens the resilience of military units through experiential, hands-on workshops delivered within the units and tailored to the command and social challenges on the ground.

The workshops provide commanders and soldiers with tools for attentive leadership, navigating complex conversations, and strengthening interpersonal communication and unit cohesion. Through learning, practical experience, and open dialogue, participants engage with questions of identity, leadership, and society, while developing skills in listening, leading, and managing complex situations.

At the heart of this work is the belief that the human diversity within each unit is a source of strength, serving as a catalyst for resilience, belonging, and deeper connection among its members.

In addition, the Institute facilitates processes for processing experiences from service and combat, and embeds ongoing practices of meaningful, values-based command dialogue. These processes help build cohesive units grounded in trust, responsibility, and a shared sense of mission.

In this way, the Gesher Institute helps commanders and units do more than accomplish operational goals – it enables them to build strong, united teams with a deep sense of purpose and meaning.
