Our work with the future leaders of Israel strives to make them aware of the complex reality and engender a sense of responsibility for building a cohesive society within them. Our work spans programs with IDF officers, leading high school youth, and nationwide youth groups. We run seminars bridging cultural, religious, and social differences, facilitating dialogue, and creating relationships between diverse Jewish teens.
This includes a summer camp for secular and religious campers between 6th and 11th grades.
Gesher runs programming for Israeli youth by bringing together schools of different religious affiliations. Through the programming that Gesher facilitators lead, the students familiarize themselves with each other and engage in dialogue.
Every year, over 6,000 IDF soldiers participate in officer training and undergo an intensive weeklong seminar on how to lead a team of soldiers who may all be very different from them and each other. The goal is to model that despite deep ideological disagreement, there can be tremendous brotherhood in practice.
